The hydrogeological conceptual model and simulation model of the roof sandstone aquifer of the 113106 working face of Bojianghaizi Mine in the northern Ordos Basin were established. The model was identified and verified by the downhole test data, and sandstone aquifer hydrological parameters were obtained using the model. Combined with the working surface advancement process, the amount of water inflow was predicted using the block segment method. The results showed that the amount of water inflow increased greatly from the cut-eye to the working face. By combining with the formation mechanism of fold, paleogeomorphology and sedimentary phase transition analysis, it provides an important basis for the scientific drainage and prevention of roof sandstone in the next section of the Bojianghaizi mine.
