The crop distribution with different spacing has an impact on the irrigation water flow resistance. The effect of crop spacing and irrigation depth on water propulsion resistance was analyzed based on the hydraulic model. The results show that the coefficient resistance along the land increased with the increase of average water depth. The resistance coefficient along the land increased with the decrease of the crop spacing at all of the different slopes. And the effects were more significant when the water was deeper. The experimental results have a significance to choose the rational spacing of the crop distribution, which makes the irrigation water flow in an effective and controllable way.
