Plot trials in greenhouse were conducted to study the effects of aerated irrigation on soil habitat factors. The results showed that aerated irrigation decreased the mean value of soil moisture by 4.0%, compared to the CK. But, aerated irrigation increased the mean value of soil oxygen content, soil temperature, NO-3—N content and NH+4—N content by 1.5%, 3.4%, 3.7% and 1.0%, respectively, compared to the CK. Effects of aerated irrigation on soil habitat factors in our study were not significant (p>0.05). But the small changes of soil habitat factors maybe lead to great changes of soil environmental effects and the crop yield and quality. The study has important implications for in-depth research and objective evaluation of aerated irrigation techniques.
