In order to study the influence of wetting and rheological characteristics under the scope of different soft rock materials on stress and deformation of concrete face rockfill dam,the paper searched and compared the wetting and rheological model of soft rock material, studied the realization way of finite element method of wetting and rheological property of existing soft rock materials.Taking a concrete face rockfill dam as an example,the paper made two calculation schemes according to different clinical filling range of soft rock material, and carried out the stress and deformation calculation by using three-dimensional nonlinear finite element method respectively.Then it compared the results of two calculation programs and systematically summarized the effect of different soft material partition on the stress and deformation of concrete face rockfill dam.The result show that with the enlargement of the scope of soft rock material utilization,the rheological range dam body expands, the corresponding vertical and horizontal displacement of dam body,and the deflection of pane will increase. Therefore, it is necessary to rationally formulate the utilization scope of soft rock material in engineering design.
