Through CCHE2D two-dimensional water and sediment mathematical model,the paper used the nonlinear k -ε turbulence closure model, discrete control equation of finite element method and solving equation of time traveling format to simulate the two-dimensional flow characteristics for Wusiman project model of Tarim River.Iit analyzed the changes of water surface morphology, velocity and water level elevation in upper and downstream of the project. It discussed the impact of water diversion sluice and sluice gate on flow pattern at calculation section. Furthermore,it compared the elevation change of water level every typical section with the test value of physical model.The comparison result shows that the trend of water level change of two methods is basic in agreement. The numerical simulation shows that CCHE software can be better used in the numerical simulation of water flow movement in water diversion hub.
