The paper studied the removal effect of organism by use of Fenton-like system of FeS ore particles H2O2 as hetrogeneous catalysts for the degradation of p-chloroaniline (PCA) through batch experiments. It also examined the effects of initial pH, activator and H2O2 dosages on PCA degradation. The results showed that under the conditions of initial PCA concentration of 0.2×10-3 mol/L, initial pH of 3.0, FeS ore particles dosage of 0.4 g/L, H2O2 concentration of 3.2×10-3 mol/L, PCA degradation in aqueous solution reached 100% within 20 min. Moreover, Cl-, SO42- and Fe3+ ions as the main inorganic products together with TOC in aqueous solution were determined to investigate the oxidative mechanism. The results indicated that unlike traditional Fenton reagent, the reaction of FeS ore particles with H2O2 can effectively catalyze the oxidation of organic contaminants. Furthermore catalyst can be easily recovered from wastewater and reused.
