The paper studied hydrological characteristics of the loess tableland landform such as underground water level, water quality, degree of the mineralization in the new area of Xi'an-Xianyang,analyzed its influence on the surface ecosystem and carried out the spatial interpolation of hydrological data of the area for the continuous sequence by the inverse distance weighted interpolation(IDW). The results show that the appropriate soil moisture basically maintainsa beneath the ground of 2-5 meters, the growth of plant is normal, there are no stain and desertification; groundwater quality is in accordance with irrigation water, groundwater in the southwest of loess tableland accords with the human drinking water standards, the water of north area has high degree of mineralization.
