The water resources carrying capacity in each district of the Yangtze River Delta has been comprehensively evaluated by using the principal components method, and obtained good essessment results . The paper then analyzed the influential factors for water resources carrying capacity and proposed some related counter measures in order to provide a reference for sustainable development of Yangtze River Delta.
