                 Abstract:Inordertoscientificallyevaluatethewateruseefficiency(WUE)inthemiddlereachesofthe
                 YangtzeRiver,13evaluationindexeswereselectedfromthefivedimensionsofcomprehensive,industri
                 al ,agricultural,domesticandecologicalwaterusetoconstructtheWUEevaluationmodelbasedon
                 MCW -greyTOPSIS.Theweightofeachindexwascalculatedbythemixedcrossweighting(MCW)
                 methodofG1method,entropyweightmethodandcoefficientofvariationmethod.TOPSISmethodand
                 greyrelationaldegreeanalysiswerecombinedtoevaluatetheWUEofthethreeprovincesinthemiddle
                 reachesoftheYangtzeRiverfrom2015to2019 ,andthespatiotemporaldifferencesofWUEinthethree
                 regionswereanalyzedfromthefivedimensionsmentionedabove.Resultsshowthattheefficiencyofre
                 gionalWUElevelinthemiddlereachesofYangtzeriverpresentedasteadyupwardtrendintimeseries ;
                 theWUEofHunanProvinceandHubeiProvincewerehigherduringtheevaluationperiodonspacese
                 quence ,whereasthatofJiangxiprovincewaslower;furthermore,therelativeclosenessofthethreere
                 gionsdifferentiatedgreatlyinallthefivedimensions.Accordingtotheanalysis ,themainproblemsofwa
                 teruseinthemiddlereachesoftheYangtzeRiverarerevealed ,whichcanprovideatheoreticalbasisfor
                 theresearchofregionalwateruseefficiencyandapplicationofwatersavingmeasures.
