                 Abstract:Theinitialstructureofcoarsegrainedsoilhasagreatinfluenceonitsmacroscopicshear
                 strengthandthestrengthevolutionduringshearing.Inordertostudytheinitialstructuralstrengthof
                 coarsegrainedsoilandthecontributionoftheinitialstructuretotheshearstrengthintheshearing
                 process ,avisualizeddirectshearapparatuswasusedtoinvestigatetheshearstressvaluecontributedby
                 theinitialstructureoftheparticlesinthemacroscopicshearstrengthofthesoil.Itisconcludedthatthe
                 shearstressresistedbytheinitialstructureofthecoarsegrainedsoilaccountedforaboutonethirdofthe
                 overallshearstrength.Thenthevariationsoftheparticleinitialstructurecharacteristicindices ,suchas
                 particleshape,arrangementandcontactrelationshipwereanalyzedbeforeandaftertheinitialstructure
                 wasdeconstructed ,andtheinfluenceweightofeachindexontheinitialstructureeffectwasevaluatedand
                 rankedusingAHP -weightentropymethod.Theresultsshowthattheparticlecontactrelationshiphad
                 thegreatestinfluenceontheinitialstructureeffect ,anditsweightaccountedfor42.66%,followedby
                 theoverallparticleprofilecoefficient ,whichaccountedfor26.02%.
