Daqing City is a typical resource-based city, it is of great significance for the management and planning of regional water resources to explore the temporal and spatial differences of the water yield of the city and its driving mechanism. This study employs the InVEST model to evaluate the water yield of Daqing City in 2000, 2010 and 2020, and analyzes its temporal and spatial evolution characteristics. At the same time, the influence of various driving factors on water yield and its spatial distribution characteristics are investigated by GeoDetecor and multi-scale geographically weighted regression models. The results show that the water yield of Daqing City increased year by year from 2000 to 2020. From spatial perspective, the water yield was high in the southeast and low in the northwest. The actual evapotranspiration was the key factor leading to the change of water yield, showing a significant negative effect. Followed by precipitation, which had a significant positive effect on water yield. Generally speaking, the temporal and spatial pattern of water yield in the study area has changed significantly, and climate change as the principle clriving force played a key role in the change of water yield.
