Abstract:Thephenomenonofpollutanttransportiswidespreadinshallowwaterbodies,suchasrivers,
channels,andlakes.Studyingpollutantdistributionisofparamountsignificanceforwaterecosystemcon
servation.ThispaperadoptsthelatticeBoltzmannmethod(LBM)basedonD2Q16modeltosimulatethe
shallowwaterflow ,andD2Q5modeltosimulatethepollutantdiffusionprocess.Basedonthesimulation
results,theinfluenceofdifferentspacingratios,flowvelocities,andvariousarrangementsofcolumn
groupsonthedistributionofpollutantsbehindthecolumnsareinvestigated.Theresultsshowthatthe
spacingratiobetweencolumnshasasubstantialimpactonthedistributionofpollutantconcentrationbe
hindthecolumns.Whentheinletflowvelocityisconstant,asthecolumnspacingratio(L/D)increa
ses ,thepollutantdistributionateachcrosssectionbehindthecolumnbecomesmoreconcentrated.When
L/D=1.0,theextremevalueofpollutantconcentrationateachcrosssectionisgreaterthanthatunder
anyotherL/D.Atafixedcolumnspacingratio,astheflowvelocityincreases,themaximumpollutant
concentrationatvariouscrosssectionsbehindthecolumnsgenerallyexhibitadecreasingtrend.Thear
rangementpatternofthecolumngroupshasasignificantimpactonthedistributionofpollutantconcentra
tionbehindthecolumns ,withalowerpollutantconcentrationbehindthecolumnsinsquarearrangement
thanincloverleaf,trapezoidal,anddiamondarrangements.
