Abstract:Theperformanceoftheseepagecontrolstructuredirectlyaffectsthesafeoperationofthedike
whenitisconstructedonapermeablefoundationwithlongstretch.Accordingtotheengineeringgeolog
icalconditionsofthelongdikeintheHuduxiProjectreservoirareaontheMinjiangRiver ,thelayoutof
thehighpressurejetgroutedcutoffwallatthedikefoundationisoptimizedandanalyzedusingthethree
dimensionalseepageanalysismethod.Calculationresultsshowthatthehighpressurejetgroutedcutoff
wallcaneffectivelyreducethegroundwaterlevelandtheleakageofreservoirwatertotheprotectedlow
lyingareabehindthedike ,butitsseepagecontroleffectisaffectedbythespatialdistributionlength,
depthandpermeabilityoftheseepagecontrolstructureandthepermeabilityanisotropyofthestratumma
terials.Theminimumspatiallengthofthecutoffwallthatmeetstherequirementofnooverflowinthe
protectedlowlyingareadecreaseswiththeincreaseofitslayoutdepthandtheimprovementofconstruc
tionquality.Theseepagecontroleffectisobviouswhenthehydraulicconductivityofthecutoffwallis

lowerthan1×10 cm/sandthestrongpermeablestratumiscutoff;however,furtherenhancementof
theconstructionqualityandlayoutdepthdoesnotsignificantlyimprovetheseepagecontroleffect.The
permeabilityanisotropyhaslittleinfluenceontheimprovementoftheseepagecontroleffectcausedbythe
enhancedconstructionqualityofthecutoffwall,whereasincreasingthelayoutdepthhasagreatinflu
