Abstract:Basedonthedailyprecipitationdatafrom20nationalmeteorologicalstationsinYimengMoun
tainArea (from1961to2020),nineextremeprecipitationindiceswereselectedtoanalyzethespatiotem
poralvariationsofextremeprecipitationwiththemethodsof5yearslidingaverage,Mann-Kendalltest,
cumulativeanomaly,Morletwavelettransform,TysonpolygonandKriginginterpolation.Theresults
showedthattheRx1day,Rx5dayandSD Ⅱ showedaincreasingtrend,whereastheRr25,PRCRTOT,
R95P,R99P,CDDandCWDshowedanonsignificantdownwardtrend.TheabruptchangesofPRCR
TOTandRr25weresimilar,andtheirdownwardtrendwasobviousafter1980.TheSD Ⅱ hadundergone
asignificantabruptchangein1998 ,whichpresentedanupwardtrendaftertheabruptchange.Allthe
extremeprecipitationindicesbasicallyhadthefirstmaincycleof20a.Inspatialdistributions ,exceptfor
theCDDandSD Ⅱ,thespatialdistributionoftheother7indiceswassimilar,whichshowedadecreasing
patternfromsoutheasttonorthwest.TheCDDdecreasedfromeasttowest ,andtheSD Ⅱ showedatrend
ofhigherinsouthandlowerinnorth.Theanomalousyearsoftenoccurredduring1980to2000,andthe
precipitationwastypicallyabnormallyhighin1964 ,2003and2020.Theresearchresultscanprovidea
theoreticalandstatisticalsupportforwaterresourcesplanning,disasterpreventionandreductioninYi
mengMountainArea.
