Abstract:Thevolumefractionofcoarseaggregateisakeyindexforthemixratiodesignofmoldbagcon
crete.Inordertoprovidesomereferenceforthecrackresistancedesignofmoldbagconcretelinedchan
nels ,theinfluenceofcoarseaggregateontheslumpflow,compressivestrengthanddryingshrinkageof
moldbagconcreteisstudiedwhenthevolumefractionoftheaggregatefallsintherangeof0.30-0.36.
Theresultsshowthatunderthethesamewater-binderratio,theoverallslumpflowofmoldbagconcrete
riseswithfluctuationsandthenstabilizeswiththeincreaseofthevolumefractionofthecoarseaggregate ,
andthelowerthewater-binderratiothelargertheslumpflow.Underthesamewater-binderratio,the
volumefractionofcoarseaggregatedecreasesfirstandthenincreasesthe28dcompressivestrengthofmold
bagconcrete ,whereasthedecreaseofwater-binderratiosignificantlyincreasesthe28dcompressive
strength.Withtheincreaseofthevolumefractionofcoarseaggregate,the28ddryingshrinkagerateof
moldbagconcretedecreasesfirstandthenincreases ,andtheminimumvalueisreachedwhenthevolume
fractionis0.32.Thecorrespondingdryingshrinkagerateofthefirst7dayscanreachmorethan50% ofthe
totaldryingshrinkagerateof28dwhenthevolumefractionofcoarseaggregateis0.30 ,0.34and0.36,in
dicatingthatthedryingshrinkageofthemoldbagconcreteincreasesrapidlyattheearlystage.
