Abstract:ThecontradictionbetweentheeverincreasingwaterdemandofDanfengCountyandthelimited
watersupplycapacityofthereservoirsisbecomingmoreandmoreprominent.Tofullytaptheproject’s
watersupplypotentialandsolvetheproblemsofexcessivewaterabandonmentandlowwatersupplyguar
anteerateintheoperationoftheexistingprojects ,anoptimaloperationmodelisestablishedwiththeob
jectiveofminimumabandonedwater,andtheimprovedparticleswarmoptimizationisusedtofindthejoint
optimalwatersupplysolutionforQingfengReservoirandLongtanReservoir.Twoutilizablecapacitiesof

2.0×10 m and2.2×10 m ofQingfengReservoiraresimulatedwithamonthasthecalculationperiod,
undertheconditionofgivingprioritytotheecologicalflow,evapotranspirationandleakagelossoftheriv
er.Theresultsshowthattheobjectivefunctiontendstostabilizewhenthenumberofiterationsreaches36
times.Comparedwiththeconventionalscheduling ,theaverageannualwaterabandonmentsofthetwouti
lizablecapacitiesaresignificantlyreduced ,andthewatersupplyguaranteerateisimprovedtosomeex
tent.Itshowsthattheimprovedparticleswarmoptimizationbasedonlineardecreasinginertiaweightissu
periortotheothercalculationmethodsanditisapplicabletothejointoptimizationofwatersupplyofQing
fengandLongtanreservoirs.
