Abstract:Accurateinsitustressmeasurementandrefinednumericalinversionanalysisplayanimportant
roleinthesafeconstructionandefficientoperationofhighheadpumpedstoragepowerplants.Thisstudy
focusesonaplantlocatedinXinjiangundercomplexgeologicalconditions.A comprehensiveinsitu
stressmeasurementcampaignisconductedbymeansoftheconventionalhydraulicfracturingmethod ,the
threedimensionalhydraulicfracturingmethod ,andtheaperturedeformationmethod.Thesemeasure
mentsarecombinedwithmultiplelinearregressionanalysistoachievetheinversionandreconstructionof
theinsitustressfieldfortheanalysisofstressdistributioncharacteristicsandantisplittingcapacityofthe
surroundingrockatkeylocationsalongthewaterconveyancetunnel.Theresultsdemonstratesstrongcon
sistencyinstressvaluesandorientationsacrossthethreemeasurementmethodsattheintersectionofthe
insitustressboreholes ;thiscrossvalidationcanimprovetheoverallaccuracyofthemeasurements.The
calculatedstressvaluesbythenumericalinversionmodelbasedonthecomprehensiveinsitustressdata
areconsistentwiththoseoftheinsitumeasurements ,demonstratingthemodel’sreliabilityforlargescale
stressfieldinversionandreconstructionintheengineeringarea.Thestressdistributionalongthewater
conveyancetunnelrevealssignificantdisturbancesintheinsitustressfieldcausedbytopographyandge
