                 Abstract:Inordertostudythedynamicclosingprocessofsubmergedflatgatesundertheeffectoffluid-
                 solidcoupling ,aflatgateattheintakeofahydropowerstationwasselectedastheresearchobject,anda
                 detailedfluidregionandgatemodelwasestablished.RNGk- ε turbulencemodel,VOF(volumeofflu
                 id )modelanddynamicmeshtechnologyinANSYSFluentwereadoptedforthenumericalsimulationana
                 lyses.Thesimulationresultswerethencomparedwiththephysicaltestdatatoanalyzethestressandde
                 formationoftheflatgate.Comparedwiththepressureandflowfielddistributionatthemeasurement
                 pointsinthephysicalmodeltest ,thesimulationresultsareaccurateandreliable.Themaximumequiva
                 lentstressonthepanelincreasesgraduallyduringthegateclosingprocess,whichissignificantattheup
                 perflangeofthemaincrossbeamclosetothemiddleofthegate ,butrelativelysmallatthelowerflange
                 duetothefactthatitisalmostunaffectedbythewaterpressure.Theoverallmaximumdisplacementof
                 theflatgateisconcentratedatthebottomflange,andgraduallyincreaseswiththegateclosingprocess.
