Abstract:Bioslowfiltrationwaterpurificationtechnologycaneffectivelyreducethecontentoforganic
pollutantsinwaterandimprovethewaterqualitybyinterception ,filtration,adsorptionanddecomposition
ofsewagebyfiltermaterialsandbiofilms.Thehighcontentoforganicmatterisaprominentfeatureofru
raldomesticsewage.Inordertoimprovethepurificationefficiencyofruraldomesticsewagebybioslow
filtrationwaterpurificationtechnology ,itisnecessarytooptimizethestructureandperformanceofthefil
termaterialsandbiofilmsinthebiologyslowfilter(BSF).Theeffectofdifferentbiofilm cultivation
methodsonthepurificationofruraldomesticsewagebyBSFwerecomparedandanalyzedbylaboratory
biofilmcultivationandBSFpurificationexperiments.Theresultsshowedthatthebiofilmformedbyartifi
cialinoculationneededshortermaturationtimeandhadstrongerstabilitythanthatformedbynaturalcul
tivationat25℃.However ,therewasnosignificantdifferenceinthepurificationeffectofsewageturbidi
ty,ammonianitrogenandtotalphosphorusbyBSFwithdifferentbiofilmcultivationmethodsafterthemat
urationofbiofilm ,excepttheremovaleffectoforganicmatter(COD)insewagebyBSFwithartificialin
oculationbiofilm ,whichwassignificantlybetterthanthatofBSFwithnaturalcultivationbiofilm.Both
cultivationmethodshavegoodpurificationefficiencyforruraldomesticsewage ,andalltheeffluentquality
indicatorsmeettherequirementsofsewagedischarge.Theresearchresultscanprovidetechnicalrefer
