Abstract:Thehuman-waterrelationshipisoneofthemostimportantinteractionsbetweenhumanityand
nature ,andstudyingitsmeasurementmethodsisofgreatsignificanceforunderstandinghuman-water
systems.Thesemethodsnotonlyprovidescientifictoolsforrevealingtheinteractionsbetweenhumanso
cietyandwatersystems ,butalsooffertechnicalsupportforwaterresourcesmanagement,ecologicalpro
tection,andsustainablesocioeconomicdevelopment.Basedonareviewofpreviousresearch,thispaper
systematicallysummarizesthemeasurementmethodsforhuman-waterrelationships ,categorizingthem
intosixmajortypes :comprehensiveevaluation,correlationanalysis,quantitativecalculation,modelsim
ulation ,optimizationandregulation,aswellascouplingmeasurement.Adetailedanalysisofthecharac
teristicsandapplicationareasofeachmethodisprovided.Furthermore,thispaperexploresthecoupling
relationshipsbetweenthesemethods,revealingtheircomplementarityandsynergyinthestudyofhuman-
watersystems ,anddiscussesthefuturedevelopmentdirectionsofthesemeasurementmethods.Thesesix
methodscanbeusedindependentlyorincombinationforpracticalapplications,providingamethodologi
calframeworkforthestudyofmultiscale ,multifactorhuman-watersystems.Thepaperemphasizesthe
intelligenttransformationofmeasurementmethodsandtheinterdisciplinaryandmultimethodintegration ,
providingtechnicalsupportandtheoreticalfoundationforindepthresearchinthefieldofhuman-water
relationshipstudies.
