Abstract:Inresponsetotheseriousurbanwaterloggingandnonpointsourcepollution,mostcitiesin
Chinaaresystematicallyimplementingthespongecityconstruction ,inwhichplantsplayanimportantrole
asakeyecologicalelement.Plantscouldaffectthesoilstructure,organicmattercontentandmicrobial
characteristicswiththeirrootsystems ,andthensignificantlyaffectthewaterquantityandquality(nitro
gen )duringinfiltrationprocess,especiallyforligneousplantswithdevelopedroots.Inordertoinvesti
gatetheinfluenceofligneousplantrootsonnitrogenduringinfiltration,wecarriedoutsimulationexperi
mentsonthreetypicalligneousplantsincludingSophorajaponica,MalusmicromaluandMaluspumila
Mill.Thechangesofsoilnitrogenandoutflownitrogen,aswellastheirinfluencingmechanismsaffected
bytherootsystemsofthesetypicalplantswereinvestigated.Theresultsshowedthatthenitrogencontent
insoilwaspositivelycorrelatedwiththeabundanceof Chloroflexi,Proteobacteria,Gemmatimonadetes,
Acidobacteria,aswellastheactivitiesofsoilnitratereductase(SNR)andsoilnitritereductase(S
NiR).HoweveritwasnegativelycorrelatedwiththeabundanceofActinobacteriaandtheactivitiesofsoil
