Abstract:Sedimentsinthewaterlevelfluctuationzoneofthereservoirundergofrequentdryingand
floodingprocessesduetowaterlevelchanges.Inordertoinvestigatetheeffectofdryingprocessonnitro
genandphosphorusinthesediments,thestudyanalyzedsedimentsamplescollectedatdifferenteleva
tionsinthewaterlevelfluctuationzoneoftheBiliuheReservoir.Subsequently ,adryingsimulationex
perimentwascarriedoutbasedonthefieldsurveytoexplorethecharacteristicsofnitrogenandphosphor
usmorphologychangeinthesedimentsofthewaterlevelfluctuationzoneduringthedryingperiod ,soas
toprovideareferenceforthemanagementofendogenouspollutioninreservoirs.Theresultsshowedthat
TNcontentreducedby2.99% undertheinfluenceofdenitrification;however,astheconditionsunder
whichdenitrificationoccurredweredestroyedbywaterevaporation ,theTNcontentgraduallystabilized.
Affectedbymineralization ,therewasamorphologicaltransformationoforganicphosphorus(OP)toinor
ganicphosphorus (IP),whichimprovedthebioavailabilityofphosphorus.Moreover,anenrichmentof
nitrogenandphosphorustothesurfacelayerwasseenduringthedryingperiod.Therefore,sustaineddr
yingconditionisconducivetotheremovalofexcessnitrogenfromthesediments,whichinturncontrib
utestoplantgrowthandprimaryproductivityinthewaterlevelfluctuationzone.
