Abstract:Thedynamicchangesoflakeshorelinecanreflectthechangesinthelake.TakingGreatLakes
regionofBostenLakeasthestudyarea,themodifiednormalizeddifferencewaterindex(MNDWI)was
usedtoextractwaterinformationbasedonLandsatremotesensingdataandmeasuredwaterleveldata
from1977to2021.Then,theshorelinedevelopmentindexandshorelinestrengthwereusedtoanalyze
thedynamicchangesoftheshoreline ,soastoclarifythemaininfluencingfactors.Theresultsshowthat
thenorthshoreofthestudyareaexperiencedthemostsignificantchangesfrom1977to2021.Specifical
ly,theshorelinemovedtothesouthbyupto0.93kmfrom1977to1989;movedtothenorthbyupto
5.12kmfrom1989to2003;thenmovedtothesouthagainbyupto5.46kmfrom2003to2013;lastly,
movedtothenorthagainbyupto5.11kmfrom2013to2021.Intermsoftheshorelinelength,itde
creasedgraduallyatarateof1.55km/afrom1977to1989 ,increasedatarateof16.34km/afrom
1989to2002,thendecreasedsharplyatarateof22.67km/afrom2002to2012,andincreasedagain
rapidlyatarateof14.36km/afrom2012to2021.Annualprecipitation,annualtemperatureandrunoff
oftheKaiduRiverwerethemainnaturalfactorsaffectingthechangesoftheshoreline ,waterleveland
watersurfaceareainthestudyarea.Thelengthandtortuosityoftheshorelineinthestudyareaweresig
nificantlyinfluencedbythewaterlevelandwatersurfacearea ,andtheirchangeswereconsistentwiththe
shorelinelengthfrom1977to2021.
