Abstract:InordertofindouttheverticaldistributioncharacteristicsofwatertemperatureinXiluodu
Reservoirduringecologicalregulationperiodundertheconditionofinflowchange,atwodimensionalwa
tertemperaturemodelofXiluoduReservoirwasestablishedbasedonthemeasuredtopographicandhydro
logicaldatausingtheresearchmethodsofonsitewatertemperaturemonitoringandCE-QUAL-W2wa
tertemperaturenumericalsimulation.Thedynamicchangeprocessofwatertemperatureofthereservoir
fromJanuary15toApril30 ,2021wassimulated,andthetwodimensionalwatertemperaturedistribution
lawofthereservoirareaandtheinfluenceofdifferentoutletelevationsonthedischargewatertemperature
duringtheecologicalregulationperiod(MarchtoApril)wereemphaticallyanalyzed.Resultsshowedthat
thetemperaturedifferencebetweenthesurfaceandbottomwaterinfrontofthedamofXiluoduReservoir
occurredinmidMarch,whichreached2.02℃ inlateMarch,andtheverticaltemperaturegradientwas
within0.10℃/m.InApril,themaximum verticaltemperaturedifferencegrewevenlarger,which
