defectedsealingbarrieranditssensitivityanalysis

Abstract:Theuseofthejetgroutedbottomsealingbarrierreinforcementatthebottomofthepitduring
excavationisanefficientmeasuretoreducetheimpactofgroundwaterseepageonthepit.Oncealocal
defectappearsinthebarrier ,groundwaterwillpourintothepit,whichwillobstructconstructionande
veninduceinrushaccidents,threateningconstructionsafety.Regardingtothisproblem,asimplifiednu
mericalmodelwasestablishedforthecalculationofseepageinflowatthebottomofarectangularpitwith
adefectedsealingbarrier ,bywhichtheformulaforcalculatingtheseepageinflowwasderived.Then,
GeoStudiowasadoptedtosimulatetheseepagefieldofthebarrierwithalocaldefect,andtheresults
werecomparedwiththoseofthepreviousderivedformula,soastodiscusstheapplicableconditionsof
theformula.Theresultsshowthatthedefectimpermeabilitycoefficient δ (theratioofthepermeabilityco
efficientoftheundisturbedsoiltothatofthedefectinthebarrier)isthemainfactoraffectingtheaccura
cyoftheformula ,andtherelativeerrorbetweenthecalculatedandsimulatedvaluestendstodecrease
withtheincreaseof δ ,whenδ≥20,thecalculatedvalueisconsistentwiththesimulatedvalue,the
differenceinwaterheadatthebottomoftheseepagebarrierhasasmalleffectontheamountofseepage ;
when δ<20,therelativeerrorbetweenthecalculatedandsimulatedvaluesislarge,ahalftheoretical,
halfempiricalequationobtainedbycorrectingthetheoreticalequationempiricallycanbetterreducethe
errorinthecalculationofseepagevolumecausedbythedifferenceinwaterheadatthebottomoftheseal
ingbarrier.Theresultsofthestudyhaveacertainreferentialvalueforthecalculationoftheinflowatthe
bottomofthepitandtheanalysisofbarrierquality.
