                 Abstract:Inordertoexploretheimpactoflandusestructurechangeonthestormwaterregulationand
                 storagecapacity ,basedonthelandusedataandsoildatafrom1980to2020,therunoffgenerationand
                 distributionintheChaohuBasinunderdifferentrainfallscalesindifferentperiodswereanalyzedbycom
                 biningGISandSCSmodels.Theresultsshowthatfrom1980to2020,thelandusechangeinthebasin
                 mainlyshowedtheincreaseofconstructionlandandthedecreaseofcultivatedlandandforestland ;the
                 comprehensiveindexoflanduseinthebasincontinuedtoincrease ,withthehighintensitylandusearea

                 increasingfrom127to1,624km.Theareawithpoorpermeabilityincreasedfrom1,706.0to2,398.1

                 km from1980to2020,whichwasmainlyattributedtourbanexpansion.Comparedwith1980,under
                 differentlanduseconditions,therunoffincreasedsignificantlywiththesamerainfall,whichwasmainly
                 locatedintheHefeiareaoftheChaohuBasin ;however,withtheincreaseofrainfall,theeffectofrunoff
                 increasediminishedgradually,therunoffin2020increasedby6.11%,2.61% and0.96% underdif
                 ferentrainfallconditions (50,100and250mm).Therefore,itcanbeconcludedthatlandusechangeis
                 theprimaryfactorofrunoffchangeandrainfallcomesthesecond.Theresearchresultsareexpectedto
                 providesomereferencefortheurbanplanningandurbanstormwaterriskmanagementintheChaohuBa
                 sin.
