Abstract:Carbonreductionandwaterconservationareimportantissuesthataffectthesustainabledevel
opmentoftheYellowRiverUrban.Fromtheperspectiveofwaterresourcesecologyandcarbonfootprint ,
thecouplingstudyofregionalwater-carbonrelationshipwillhelprevealtherelationshipbetweenthe
quantityandqualityofwaterresourcesandcarbonemissions,andprovidesomeguidanceforthesustain
ableandbalanceddevelopmentofecologicalenvironmentprotectionalongtheYellowRiverUrbanBeltin
Ningxia.Basedonthetheoryofwaterresourcesecologicalfootprintandcarbonfootprint ,thecarbonfoot
print,waterresourcesecologicalfootprintandtheirspatiotemporalchangetrendofthefourcentralcities
alongtheYellowRiverUrbanBeltinNingxiawerecalculatedandanalyzedfromtheperspectiveofspatio
temporaldistributiondifferencesandwater-carboncorrelationcharacteristics.Theresultsshowthata
carbonemissionandwaterecologicalpressureregionhasformed ,withWuzhongandYinchuanasthe
centerofgravity ,whichoverlapswiththehighlydevelopedregioninthebelt;however,duetothediffer
entindustrialstructureandresourceconditions,thecorrelationbetweencarbonemissionsandwaterre
sourcesindifferentregionsissignificantlydifferentiated ,amongwhichthecorrelationbetweenwaterqual
ityecologicalfootprintandcarbonfootprintismoresignificant ,showingtheregionalimbalanceofwater,
carbon,environmentandindustrydevelopment.
