                 Abstract:TheflowcharacteristicsofthesteppedspillwayissimulatedbyDualSPHysicsinordertostudy
                 theenergydissipationlawandfindtheoptimalparametersofthesteppedspillway.Here,theapplicability
                 andaccuracyofthesmoothedparticlehydrodynamics(SPH)methodinthewaterflowsimulationofthe
                 steppedspillwayisverifiedthroughcomparativeanalysis.Then,theenergydissipationlawofthestepped
                 spillwayisstudiedbyestablishingatotalof288workingconditionswithdifferentsinglewidthflowrates ,
                 stagegradientsandthenumberofsteps.Theresultsshowthattheenergydissipationrateofthestepped
                 spillwayisnegativelycorrelatedwiththesinglewidthflowratewhentheotherparametersareconstant;
                 thenumberofstepshasnosignificanteffectontheenergydissipationrateofthesteppedspillway,but
                 thereisacertainstepnumberwhentheenergydissipationrateofthesteppedspillwayreachesthemaxi
                 mumvalue.Accordingtothesimulationresults ,thenumberofstepscorrespondingtotheoptimalenergy
                 dissipationrateisintherangeof78-81steps.Thisconclusionhasacertainreferentialvalueforthe
                 practicalengineering.
