                 Abstract:Inordertosolvetheproblemofanalyzingthetemporalandspatialcharacteristicsofwateryield
                 andrunoffintheabsenceofdata,variousmethods,includingSWATmodel,multivariatestatisticalanal
                 ysis ,correlationcoefficientmethod,andelasticanalysismethod,wereusedtoanalyzethespatialand
                 temporalvariationsofwateryieldandrunoffofeachsectionintheTaoheRiverBasin ,soastorevealthe
                 relationshipamongprecipitation (P),wateryield(Y)andrunoff(R),andtheinfluencingfactorsof
                 runoffchangeinregionswithscarcedata.TheresultsshowedthattherunoffofHongqiStationintheTao
                 heRiverBasindecreasedsignificantlyoverallfrom 1956to2019,andanabruptchangeoccurredin
                1987.ThedeterminationcoefficientsofSWATmodelwere0.78and0.79 ,andNash-Suttcliffecoeffi
                 cientswere0.78and0.77intheperiodofvalidationandcalibration ,respectively,andalltherelative
                 errorswerelessthan10%,sothesimulationresultsweresatisfactory.Themiddlereachesaccountedfor
                 thelargestproportionofrunoff(50.71%),followedbytheupperreaches(37.21%)andthelowerrea
                 ches(12.08%),therefore,themiddlereacheswerethemainsourceoftherunoff.Thewateryieldde
                 creasedfromtheupstreamtothedownstream ,whichwas214.18,179.43and81.16mm,respectively.
                 ThewateryieldintheDaisangRiverBasinwasthelargest ,whereasthatintheChaheRiverandDongyu
