Abstract:Basedonathreedimensionalwaterecologicalfootprintmodel,anindexevaluationsystemof
sustainableutilizationofwaterresourceswasconstructedwithfourindexes ,includingwaterecological
deficitsandsurplus ,waterpressureindex,waterresourcesintensiveuseindexandwaterresourcessus
tainableindex.Then ,thesustainableutilizationlevelofwaterresourcesinHenanProvincewasanalyzed
from spatialandtemporalperspectives ,andthedrivingfactorsofwaterfootprintchangewasalsodis
cussedusinglogarithmicmeanDivisiaindexanalysis.TheresultsshowthatthewaterfootprintofHenan
Provincefromlargesttosmallestisproductionwaterecologicalfootprint ,domesticwaterecologicalfoot
printandecologicalwaterecologicalfootprint,andthewaterfootprintdepthofthecitiesineasternHenan
andcentralHenanislarger.Moreover ,theoverallsustainableutilizationofwaterresourcesinHenan
Provinceispoor ,amongwhichthecitiesinnorthHenanandcentralHenanhavetheworstperformance.
Economicscaleeffectandpopulationscaleeffecthaveapositivedrivinginfluenceonthechangesofwater
footprint ,whereasintensityefficiencyeffectofwaterfootprintandwaterresourcescarryingcapacityeffect
haveanegativedrivinginfluence.
