Abstract:Inviewoftheseriousseweroverflowpollutionofthecombinedpipenetworksystemandthe
blackandodorousphenomenonofthereceivingwaterbody,takingtheYinchuanNo.1SewageTreatment
Plantareaasanexample ,theSWMM modelisadoptedforthesimulationstudyundertheconditionsof
shortdurationdesignrainfallandtypicalyearlongdurationrainfall.Theresponseoftheoverflowdis
chargeandoverflowpollutantloadofthestudyareatodifferentrainfallconditionsandtheirimpactonthe
waterqualityofthereceivingwaterbodyaresimulatedandanalyzed.Theresultsshowthatinrainydays ,
theoverflowandoverflowpollutionloadofthecombinedpipenetworksystem werelarge,andtheyin
creasedwiththeincreaseofrainfallunderbothshorttermandlongtermrainfallconditions.Theoverflow
pollutioninfrontoftheplantwashighlyconcentrated,whichexceededtheselfpurificationcapacityofthe
receivingwaterbody ,andthewaterqualitywasinablackandodorousstateinashorttime.Thisstudy
isofimportantreferentialvaluetothetreatmentofblackandodorouswaterandtheformulationofoverflow
pollutioncontrolplaninYinchuanCity.
