Abstract:WaterresourcessecurityinHunanProvinceplaysanimportantroleinmaintainingwatersecur
ityinthemiddleandlowerreachesoftheYangtzeRiver.Thespatialevaluationandobstaclefactordiag
nosisofwaterresourcessecurityinHunanProvinceareaimedtoprovidedecisionmakingbasisforregion
alecologicalmanagementandwaterresourcesdevelopmentandutilization.Here,13indicesfromsubsys
temsofwaterresourcescondition ,socialeconomicconditionandecologicalenvironmentconditionwere
selectedtoconstructaspatialevaluationindexsystem ofwaterresourcessecurity ,thentheentropy
weight-TOPSISmodelwasusedtoevaluatethecomprehensivesituationofwaterresourcessecurity ,and
thespatialdistributionmapwasdrawn.Meanwhile,themainobstaclefactorswereidentifiedbyobstacle
degreemodel.TheresultsshowthatthewaterresourcessecurityofHunanProvincewasatlevel Ⅲ (bas
icsafety )from2000to2015,andreachedlevel Ⅱ (relativelysafe)by2020,whichshowedanannual
