Abstract:ThewaterfootprintsofmaincropsinHuaiheRiverBasinwerediscussedinordertoprovidea
theoreticalbasisfortheimprovementofregionalagriculturalwaterusestructureandwatershortage.Tak
ingthemaincropsinthefiveprovincesoftheHuaiheRiverBasinastheresearchobjects ,thespatialand
temporalchangesoftheblue,greenandgraywaterfootprintsofwheat,rice,maize,soybeanandoil
plantsfrom2000to2017werecalculatedandanalyzed,andtheinfluencingfactorsofcropwaterfoot
printswereexploredusingpathanalysis.Theresultsshowthatthesoybeanhadthelargestannualaverage
waterfootprint ,andcropwaterfootprintswerenegativelycorrelatedwiththeyieldperunit.Intermsofin
terannualvariability ,thetotalwaterfootprintofwheat,rice,maize,andoilplantsgenerallyshoweda
decreasingtrend,whereasthatofsoybeanshowedatrendoffluctuatedincrease.Astothespatialdistri
bution,thetotalwaterfootprintsinAnhuiProvinceandHenanProvincewerethelargest,thespatialdis
tributionofthewaterfootprintshowedacertaindegreeofaggregation ,whichwasgenerallyhighinthe
middleandlowinthesurroundingareas.Inaddition ,thefactorsthathadthegreatestimpactonthewater
footprintofcropsintheHuaiRiverBasinweretheapplicationamountofnitrogenfertilizers ,averagetem
peratureandannualrainfall.
