               Abstract:Inordertohaveadeepunderstandingofthechangingfeaturesofextremetemperatureeventsun
               dertheinfluenceofglobalwarminginWesternHubeimountains,thevariationcharacteristicsoftheextreme
               temperatureeventsinWesternHubeimountainswereanalyzedanddiscussedbasedonthedailydataoffour
               meteorologicalstationsinEnshi ,Badong,LaifengandFangxianfrom1971to2015,usingmethodsoflinear
               regression,movingaverage,Mann-KendalltestandMorletwavelet.Theresultsshowedthattheextreme
               minimumtemperature ,extrememaximumtemperatureandthenumberofhightemperaturedaysallshowed
               anincreasingtrendinthepast45years,amongwhich,theextrememinimum temperatureincreasedthe
               most ;whereasthenumberoffrostdaysshowedadecreasingtrend.Thenumberofextremecoldeventsde
               creasedduringthepast45years ,butthenumberofextremehoteventsincreased,with1996and2007as
               theabruptchangeyears ,respectively.Theextremetemperatureeventshadthecharacteristicsofperiodic
               changeof5and18aandsoon,andtheeventschangedalternatively.Theresearchresultscanprovidea
               referencefordisasterpreventionandmitigationandtheformulationofacomprehensivemechanismforthe
               preventionofextremetemperaturemeteorologicaldisastersinwesternHubei.
