Abstract:Plantslopeprotectionmeasuresplayanimportantroleintheimprovementofloessslopestabil
ityandtherestorationofecologicalenvironment.Here,theshearstrengthofundisturbedRobinia
pseudoacaciarootcompositesoilwasmeasuredbyalargedirectsheardevice,andthereinforcement
effectsofRobiniapseudoacaciarootsystemwithdifferentgrowthyearsonloessslopeswereanalyzedby
thegeotechnicalengineeringnumericalcalculationsoftwareFLAC3D.Theresultsshowthattheplant
rootscanimprovetheshearstrengthofrootcompositesoilsignificantlybecausetherootsystemplaysthe
roleofreinforcementanchoringinthesoil ,andtheshearstrengthofrootcompositesoilconformstoMohr
Coulombstrengthcriterion.Theshearstrengthofrootcompositesoilincreasedwiththeincreaseofroot
growthyears,thecohesion(c)andinternalfrictionangle( φ)of3-7aRobiniapseudoacaciaun
disturbedrootcompositesoilwere44.46- 88.91kPaand23.89°-28.85°respectively ,and7a
Robiniapseudoacaciarootcompositesoilhadthehighestshearstrength,itscand φ were211% and31%
higherthanrootlesssoilrespectively.Plantrootscanstrengthentheloessslopeandimproveitsstability,
