Abstract:Inrecentyears,thewaterresourcesconditionsinthesourceareaoftheYellowRiverhave
changedconsiderably,basedon58yearsofrunoffandmeteorologicaldatafrom1961-2018,Mann-
Kendalltestandwaveletanalysiswereusedtoanalyzethecharacteristicsandinfluencingfactorsofthese
runoffchanges.Theresultsshowthattherunoffshowedanonsignificantdecreasingtrendasawholeby

therateof-0.63×10 m /a,withalargerdecreaseinsummerandautumn,butasmallerdecreasein
winterandspring;however,itpresentedanonsignificantincreasingtrendbothbeforeandafter1990,
andtheincreasingtrendacceleratedsignificantlyafter1990,thelatterwas3.09timesoftheformer.
Meanwhile,theincreasinghighvalueareaofprecipitationoverlappedwiththatoftemperatureafter1990,
andprecipitationwasthemostimportantfactoraffectingrunoffchanges.Thesefindingsindicatethatthe
acceleratedwarmingandhumidification ,aswellasitsspatialmigrationdirectlyledtotheaccelerated
meltingofglaciers,whichwasalsothereasonfortherapidincreaseofrunoffafter1990inthesourcere
gionoftheYellowRiver.
