Abstract:Itisofgreatsignificancefortherationalplanningofregionalwaterresourcestoanalyzethe
spatialtemporalevolutioncharacteristicsanddrivingfactorsofurbanwaterconsumptiononamorede
tailedscale.Basedonnighttimelightdataandwaterconsumptiondata ,weestablishedaspatialmodelof
urbanwaterconsumption ,andstudiedthespatialtemporalevolutioncharacteristicsanddrivingfactorsof
urbanwaterconsumptionintheYangtzeRiverDeltaUrbanAgglomerationusingstandarddeviationel
lipse ,spatialautocorrelationanalysis,Geodetectorandfactoranalysismethods.Theresultsshowthat
from2000to2018 ,thespatialdistributionofurbanwaterconsumptionintheYangtzeRiverDeltaUrban
Agglomerationgraduallychangedfromthe“east-west”directionto“northwest-southeast”direction,
andthecenterofgravityshiftedtothesoutheastasawhole.Thecountyscalewaterconsumptionofthe
YangtzeRiverDeltaUrbanAgglomerationshowedasignificantpositivespatialcorrelation.Thehighvalue
clusteredareasmainlydistributedinthecentralregion ,whereasthelowvalueclusteredareasscatteredin
themarginalregion.Theurbaneconomicdevelopmentlevelreflectedbypopulation,comprehensivewater
supplycapacity,builtupareaandGDPwasthedominantfactorinthespatialtemporalevolutionofurban
waterconsumptionintheYangtzeRiverDeltaUrbanAgglomeration ,andprice,industrialstructureand
waterconservationmeasuresareimportantfactors.TheYangtzeRiverDeltaUrbanAgglomerationshould
focusonthecoordinateddevelopmentofinternalcities ,deepenwaterpricereform,optimizetheindustrial
