Abstract:AsanimportantenergyandchemicalindustrybaseoftheYellowRiverBasin,theQinmang
RiverBasinisfacingaprominentcontradictionbetweenthesupplyanddemandofwaterresources.Inthe
hopeofprovidinganexemplarycasestudyfortheimplementationofthemajornationalstrategyofecologi
calconservationandhighqualitydevelopmentoftheYellowRiverBasin ,weevaluatedthesustainableu
tilizationofwaterresourcesintheQinmangRiverBasinusingtheecologicalfootprinttheoryandconduc
tedanequilibriumanalysisofwaterresourcesecologicalfootprint(WEF)ofthebasin.Thewaterre
sourcesecologicalfootprintmodelwasusedtocalculatetheWEFofvariousadministrativeregionsinthe
QinmangRiverBasin,andTheilindexwasusedtoanalyzetheirequilibriumstatusfrom2010to2019.
TheresultsshowthatthereweresomedifferencesintheWEFinthefiveprefectureleveladministrative
regionsoftheQinmangRiverBasin ,amongwhichtheWEFintwooftheregionswererelativelylarge,
andtherestthreeweresmall.Alltheadministrativeregionswereinecologicaldeficit,andthedisequilib
riumofagriculturalecologicalfootprintwasmoreprominent.Thedifferenceswithineachindividualgroup
graduallyexceededthedifferencesbetweengroupsandbecamethemainfactoraffectingtheequilibriumof
WEFinthebasin.Onthewhole,theecologicalconditionofwaterresourcesintheQinmangRiverBasin
