              Abstract:Aimingattheproblemofriparianbiogenicmaterialcyclesbroughtuponbycascadehydropowerde
              velopment ,thecascadehydropowerdevelopmentsectionoftheupperYellowRiver(Longyangxia-Liujiaxia
              section ,atotaloffivereservoirs)wasselectedastheresearcharea,anddissolvedorganiccarbon(DOC)as
              themainresearchobject.ThedistributioncharacteristicsofDOCandphysicochemicalindicatorswereanalyzed
              bysamplingmonitoringmethod ,thentheDOCtransportfluxineachreservoirwasestimatedbasedonthestat
              icboxalgorithmmodel.TheresultsshowedthatDOCandconventionalphysicochemicalindicatorspresented
              obviousspatiotemporalheterogeneity ,andtheconcentrationofDOCinthefloodseason(5.37-7.00mg/L)
              washigherthanthatinthenonfloodseason(2.90-5.56mg/L).Moreover,duetotheverticalwatertem
              peraturestratificationofthereservoir,theDOCshowedthecharacteristicsoffluctuatedchangealongtheverti
              caldirectionofthewaterdepthinthefloodseason.Duringthesamplingyear ,thetotalinputofDOCinthe
              Long-Liusectionwas258.53kt,thetotaloutputwas192.23kt,andtheinterceptionratewas25.6%.The
              reservoirswhichplayedtheroleofinterceptionwereLongyangxia ,GongboxiaandLiujiaxia,andtherestwere
              alltransporters.
