                 Abstract:Asphalt-aggregateadhesionisakeyinfluencingfactorforthewaterstabilityofasphaltmix
                 tures.Inordertoquantitativelyanalyzetheadhesionbetweenasphaltandaggregates ,surfacefreeenergy
                 theoryandimprovedboilingmethodwereusedfortheevaluation.First ,thesurfaceenergyparametersof
                 asphalt ,modifiedasphalt,agedasphalt,granite,limestoneanddiabaseweremeasuredat25℃ bycon
                 tactanglemeasurementtest ,andtheadhesionandexfoliationworkofdifferentasphalt-aggregatesys
                 temswerecalculated.Theabsoluteratio ERbetweentheworkofadhesionandtheworkofexfoliationwas
                 usedastheevaluationindexofadhesion ,andthequalitylossrateFobtainedbyimprovedboilingmethod
                 asthequantitativeindextoverifythetestresultsofthesurfaceenergytheory.Theresultsshowthatthe
                 surfaceenergyparametersof90Aasphaltmixedwithmodifiersreducedby2.5% to6.2%,thewatersta
                 bilityindex ERofthemodifiedasphalt-aggregatesystemincreasedby1.9% to7.8%,sotheadhesion
                 increased ,ofwhichtheexfoliationagentpresentedthebestimprovementeffect.However,theERvalue
                 ofagedasphaltdecreasedby4.3% to9.2%,resultinginthedecreaseoftheadhesion.Theadhesionof
                 systemswiththesameasphaltbutdifferentaggregateswererankedasfollows :asphalt-limestone>as
                 phalt-diabase>asphalt-granite;whereasthatofdifferentasphaltwiththesameaggregatewereranked
                 asfollows :90PA>90HC>90C ≈90H>90A.Theadhesiongradesobtainedbytheimprovedboiling
