Abstract:TargetingtheeffectofvegetationrestorationonthewatercycleintheupstreamofYellowRiv
er ,basedonthevegetationcoverage,remotesensingandfieldobservationdataoftheevapotranspiration
inthetheBeichuanRiverBasin ,theevolutiontrendofevapotranspirationandthecausesofitschanges
wereanalyzedtoinvestigatethepotentialinfluencingpathofthevegetationrestorationinalpinemountain
ousareaonthechangesofevapotranspirationonthebasinscale.Theresultsshowthattheevapotranspi
rationdecreasedby33.23mminBeichuanRiverBasinfrom2000to2019duetothecontinuousincrease
ofthevegetationcoverage.ThereductionofevapotranspirationinJulyandAugust ,whichisthemain
vegetationgrowthseason ,dominatedtheannualreduction.DuringtheperiodofJunetoSeptember,
2019,thesoilevapotranspirationintheforestwas207.38mm,whichwas157.53mmlowerthanthat
outsidetheforest ,thiswasalsoconducivetothedecreaseofevapotranspirationinthebasin.Meteorologi
calfactorssuchassurfacewindspeed,whichweregreatlyinfluencedbyvegetation,playedanimportant
roleinthereductionofthepotentialevapotranspirationstrengthinthebasin.Thevariationtrendofevap
otranspirationinalpinemountainousareainthebackgroundofvegetationrestorationwasdifferentfrom
