               Abstract:ThecontradictionbetweensupplyanddemandofwaterresourcesintheYellowRiverBasinis
               prominent ,inordertocoordinatetherelationshipbetweenwaterresourcesandeconomicandsocialdevelop
               mentinthisarea ,accordingtowaterusedataintheYellowRiverBasinWaterResourcesBulletinfrom
               1988to2019,theinformationentropymethodwasusedtoanalyzetheevolutionlawandspatialdistribution
               ofwaterusestructureintheYellowRiverBasininthepast30years.Theresultsshowthatthetotalwater
               consumptionintheYellowRiverBasinhasshownatwostagechangefrom1988-2019 ,whichgenerally
               showedatrendofdecreasingfirstandthenincreasing.Theinformationentropyofwaterusestructure
               showedacontinuousgrowthtrend,whichincreasedfrom0.6in1988to1.2in2019,indicatingthatthee
               volutionofwaterusestructureoftheYellowRiverBasinwasbeneficialtothedevelopmentofeconomyand
               society.Fromtheperspectiveofthespatialdistributionofwaterusestructure ,theinformationentropyand
               equilibriumofwaterusestructureinSichuan ,ShaanxiandShanxiProvincewererelativelyhigh,theirmean
               valueswereabove1.2and0.6respectively ;whereastherationalityofwaterusestructureinNingxiaHui
               AutonomousRegion ,InnerMongoliaAutonomousRegionandShandongProvincewasatapoorlevelinthe
               YellowRiverBasin ,themeanvaluesofinformationentropyandequilibriumofwaterusestructureswerebe
               low0.9and0.5respectively.Intermsofthetemporalevolutionofwaterusestructure ,theinformationen
